Football Game Preview: St. Clair Saints vs. Sterling Heights Stallions

The St. Clair Saints will venture away from home to face off against the Sterling Heights Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Clair will be strutting in after a win while Sterling Heights will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Clair took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past South Lake, posting a 42-14 victory. Considering the Saints have won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Sterling Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Marine City, falling 61-7. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Mariners are ranked 102nd).

Sterling Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Clair, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for St. Clair against Sterling Heights when the teams last played back in September of 2019, as the team secured a 42-7 victory. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
