Volleyball Game Preview: Fillmore Central Falcons vs. Spring Grove Lions

Fillmore Central extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Josie Corson. The Falcons put the hurt on Hayfield with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Corson, who had 13 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 18 times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fillmore Central was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Spring Grove had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rebels as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Spring Grove's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-12.

Fillmore Central's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Spring Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.
