Basketball Recap: Parkersburg Christian Skates Past Hannan with Ease

Parkersburg Christian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hannan Wildcats 41-12. The matchup marked Parkersburg Christian's most dominant win of the season.

Parkersburg Christian found their leader in freshman Kenzi Lucas, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lucas has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shianne Posey, who posted five points in addition to eight steals and seven assists.

Parkersburg Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Parkersburg Christian moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Hannan, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkersburg Christian will welcome Wood County Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Hannan, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Meigs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hannan is facing Meigs at the right time seeing as Meigs is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
