When it comes to explaining why Alvin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendell Jackson. Despite the final result, she scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jackson scored a full 54.2% of Alvin's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Maddy Kincaide was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Alvin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Central Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Alvin will take on Giddings at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Giddings is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Central Heights' road trip will continue as they head out to face Midland at 10:40 a.m. on December 2nd.
