Volleyball Recap: Atlas Preparatory School Comes Up Short

Atlas Preparatory School extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They lost 3-0 to the James Irwin Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Saturday.

As for James Irwin, their victory ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-11. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 3-0).

Leading James Irwin to victory were Antony Luna Orozco and Harris Khan. Luna Orozco had 17 assists and eight digs, while Khan had 11 digs and one block. That's the most assists Luna Orozco has posted since back in March.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Atlas Preparatory School is set to challenge their familiar foe Canon City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, James Irwin will square off against rival Thomas MacLaren School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
