Softball Recap: Bishop McNamara Takes a Loss

If Bishop McNamara was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Maret last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 14-1 to the St. Mary's Ryken Knights on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Bishop McNamara saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaslyne Ivey, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Bishop McNamara now has a losing record of 4-5. As for St. Mary's Ryken, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Bishop McNamara has already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association on the 14th. As for St. Mary's Ryken, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against The Academy of the Holy Cross on the 14th.
