North Adams hasn't had much luck against Eastern recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Green Devils will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Adams comes in on three and Eastern on four.
North Adams will bounce into Monday's match after beating Peebles, who they had gone 0-8-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Green Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Indians on Thursday.
Carlee Garrison made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

In other batting news, Paige Evans was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Woods, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
North Adams kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Eastern got the win against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Warriors have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Allie Grooms spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Breeanna Jimison, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raylee Brummett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Eastern pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for North Adams, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Adams hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Eastern struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Adams suffered a grim 19-6 defeat to Eastern in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Green Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
