Volleyball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Mountain View last Wednesday, Homestead came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Monta Vista Matadors by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Matadors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Homestead actually scored more points across those five sets (107-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 12-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Homestead has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season. As for Monta Vista, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Homestead is set to challenge their familiar foe Los Gatos at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Monta Vista will square off against rival Palo Alto at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
