Rock Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the San Ysidro Cougars on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Alexa Baird paced Rock Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Baird got some help from Daniella Lara and her 27 assists. Martha Mulumbilwa and Brooke Rodrigues kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Rock Academy's record is now 17-7. As for San Ysidro, they moved to 21-13 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Rock Academy will challenge Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ysidro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
