Basketball Recap: Farmington's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

Farmington entered their match against Cardinal Ritter College Prep on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Farmington Knights lost 74-53 to the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since January 9, 2024.

Despite the loss, Farmington still got an impressive performance from Logan Schaupert, who went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and four steals. Schaupert is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Knight, who posted six points.

Farmington's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-2. As for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Farmington and Cardinal Ritter College Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Farmington will square off against Festus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 193 places (26 vs. 219). Farmington will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. Meanwhile, Cardinal Ritter College Prep (ranked 81st) will meet Lift for Life Academy (ranked 381st) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Farmington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 72.2 points per game this season.
