Basketball Recap: Bancroft-Rosalie Comes Up Short

Bancroft-Rosalie lost against Clarkson/Leigh back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clarkson/Leigh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Kasik led the charge by going 9 of 13 on her way to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. What's more, Kasik also posted a 69% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Brynn Settje was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Bancroft-Rosalie's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bancroft-Rosalie will head out to square off against Homer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they will challenge Pierce at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
