After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Medford, Century was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the South Salem Saxons 20-2. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Michelle Katke made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Katke was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. That hit was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Ava Durtschi was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hailey Kinney, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
