Basketball Recap: Briggs Comes Up Short

Briggs lost against Africentric Early College back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Briggs Bruins took a blow against the Africentric Early College Nubians, falling 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 675th, while the Nubians are ranked 78th).

Briggs' loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Africentric Early College, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Briggs will be playing in front of their home fans against Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Africentric Early College, they will take on Northland at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th.
