Basketball Recap: Oak Mountain Academy Piles Up the Points Against Scholars Guild Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Kissimmee Christian, Oak Mountain Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans 59-32. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Oak Mountain Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Patrick Marlow led the charge by putting up 18 points. Marlow continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tosan Oke, who posted 16 points.

Oak Mountain Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Mountain Academy will take on Killian Hill Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they will square off against Genesis Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
