Basketball Game Preview: Lakewood Park Christian Panthers vs. Westview Warriors

The Lakewood Park Christian Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Westview Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Lakewood Park Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to Adams Central. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Lakewood Park Christian got top-tier performance from Gracelyn Martin, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 25 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Bontrager, who posted nine points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Westview hadn't done well against Wawasee recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Westview took down Wawasee 58-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westview.

Westview's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Lakewood Park Christian beat Westview 40-29 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
