Volleyball Game Preview: Superior Central Cougars vs. Rapid River Rockets + How To Watch

The Superior Central Cougars will head out to face off against the Rapid River Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Superior Central didn't have quite enough to beat North Dickinson and fell 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Superior Central wouldn't go down easily and took North Dickinson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 17-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Rapid River came up short against North Dickinson on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Rapid River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into North Dickinson's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-19.

Rapid River's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Superior Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Superior Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Rapid River in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
