Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Beats Faith Christian for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Trinity Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 victory over Faith Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Leading Trinity Christian to victory were David Tweedie and Ryan Khan. Tweedie went 9 for 18 on his way to 23 points and three steals, while Khan posted 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Tweedie is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Judah Rogers, who put up two points and five rebounds.

Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Faith Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-49 victory against Abundant Life Academy on the 13th. As for Faith Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Veritas Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Veritas Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Faith Christian likes a good challenge.
