Football Recap: Nogales Apaches vs. Rio Rico Hawks
Nogales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Rio Rico Hawks. The Apaches lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 39-0 score last time.
Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rio Rico, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Nogales will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th. As for Rio Rico, they will take on Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Florence will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rio Rico surely won't give up without a fight.
