While Southern Fulton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Fannett Metal on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with Fannett Metal: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Alexis Johnson, who had five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Johnson wasn't the only good server: Southern Fulton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Southern Fulton's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fannett Metal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Fulton will welcome Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Fannett Metal, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northern Bedford County at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
