Baseball Game Preview: High Point Wildcats vs. Hackettstown Tigers

For the second straight game, High Point will face off against Hackettstown. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Point is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

High Point is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: Hackettstown, who was ranked 21st at the time (High Point was ranked 25th). The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 15-4 on Monday. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Hackettstown's part, Ryan Antonucci made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

High Point's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Hackettstown, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.
