Softball Game Preview: Salmon Savages vs. West Jefferson Panthers

Salmon hasn't had much luck against West Jefferson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Savages will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Salmon's victory against Firth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Savages narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cougars 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Savages have posted since April 11th.

Meanwhile, West Jefferson can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Ririe 23-13.

Salmon pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for West Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
