Basketball Recap: Horizon Scorpions vs. Bel Air Highlanders
Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-29 loss at the hands of the Bel Air Highlanders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-17 back in January.
Bel Air's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayde Martinez led the charge by going 6 for 7 on her way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Adalyn Palomo, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points.
Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Bel Air, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bel Air, they will challenge Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bel Air is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
