Volleyball Recap: Cameron Keller and Haley Wheeler Secure Win for Boerne

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Braunfels, Boerne was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Wagner Thunderbirds as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Boerne took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-15.

Leading Boerne to victory were Haley Wheeler and Cameron Keller. Wheeler had ten digs and two assists, while Keller had 20 assists. Keller is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Molly McCormick also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Boerne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Boerne's victory bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Wagner, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boerne is set to challenge their familiar foe Tivy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wagner will square off against rival Pieper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
