Softball Recap: Shady Side Academy Comes Up Short

Shady Side Academy fell victim to Apollo Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 19-0. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Shady Side Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Becca Schriver, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Schriver is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Shady Side Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Apollo Ridge, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shady Side Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Brentwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Apollo Ridge will face off against rival Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
