Football Recap: Serra Catholic Eagles vs. Fort Cherry Rangers
Serra Catholic had lost five straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it six. They were dealt a 49-8 loss at the hands of the Fort Cherry Rangers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 42-3 to the Rangers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Chris Green threw for 52 yards on seven of 20 attempts.
As for Fort Cherry, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Matt Sieg had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 243 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Salvini, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD on only six carries.
As of now, neither Serra Catholic nor Fort Cherry have any future games scheduled.
