The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mare Island Tech Academy has seven straight wins, the Griffins have six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-5 Griffin Academy and 352-1259-2 Varsity Opponent (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.6% over those games). As for Griffin Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Mare Island Tech Academy against the Griffins when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 61-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mare Island Tech Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
