Baseball Recap: Saguaro Find Success

Saguaro's tournament run continued when they took on O'Connor on Thursday. The Saguaro Sabercats walked away with a 9-4 victory over the O'Connor Eagles.

Max Jelinek looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits.

At the plate, Alain Gomez was a standout: he scored a run while going 3-for-3. Louis Busseri was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Saguaro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as O'Connor only posted a batting average of .240.

The win got Saguaro back to even at 1-1. As for O'Connor, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Saguaro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-7 tie against Chandler on the 28th. As for O'Connor, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-8 defeat against Mesquite on the 28th.
