Basketball Recap: South Paulding Comes Up Short

South Paulding lost against New Manchester last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Paulding Spartans fell 59-47 to the New Manchester Jaguar. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Jaguar are ranked 49th).

South Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for New Manchester, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

South Paulding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Manchester, they will venture away from home to square off against Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alexander will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something New Manchester surely won't give up without a fight.
