Basketball Recap: Pine Grove Takes a Loss

Pine Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ingomar Falcons. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pine Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ingomar, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Pine Grove will challenge Ashland at 9:45 a.m. on Monday. The Panthers will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ingomar, they will take on Magnolia Heights in a tournament on Monday. The Chiefs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
