Volleyball Recap: Katie Sellers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Park Tudor over Union County

Park Tudor suffered their biggest defeat since October 19, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Union County Patriots, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

While Park Tudor was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Park Tudor's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Sellers, who had five digs and two aces. Sellers is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Rhys Napier also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Park Tudor's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Union County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Tudor will host Bethesda Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will be playing at home against Connersville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
