Preview: Evans Knights vs. South Effingham Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Evans is 3-0 against South Effingham since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Evans Knights will get right back to it and host the South Effingham Mustangs at 3:30  p.m.  on January 13th. Hopefully Evans is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Effingham in Georgia (Evans is ranked 197th, while South Effingham is ranked 489th).
 Even though Lakeside scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Evans still came out on top. Evans skirted past Lakeside  65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory Evans has posted  yet this season.
 Meanwhile,  this season hasn't been kind to South Effingham, who are still winless after their 11th contest. They had to suffer through a rough  82-31 loss at the hands of Grovetown. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss South Effingham has suffered  yet this season.
 South Effingham's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Will Harlin, who  scored 12 points along with two  steals, and  Michael Hall who  scored four points.
 South Effingham  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only four  assists. They are  winless (0-3) when  they just don't pass the ball.
 Evans' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for South Effingham, their loss was  their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 0-11.
 Evans took their  win against South Effingham  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023 by a conclusive  73-50. Does  Evans have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Effingham turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
