 Cimarron is 1-6 against Goodland since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Cimarron Bluejays will be staying on the road  to face off against the Goodland Cowboys at 4:00  p.m. One thing working in Cimarron's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four matches.
 Cimarron is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Friday, just like they did against Hugoton (and have done all season long). Cimarron put the hurt on Hugoton with a sharp  12-6 victory on Thursday.
  Logan Heddlesten was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.  Colby Wilson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Goodland was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. They lost  11-1 to Limon. That's two games in a row now that Goodland has lost by  exactly ten  runs.
 Goodland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zach Thorsen, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Goodland  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when  they post five or more  strikeouts.
 Cimarron pushed their record up to 11-7 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Goodland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Cimarron suffered a grim  12-2 defeat to Goodland  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Can Cimarron avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
