Baseball Game Preview: Hudson Cobras vs. Pasco Pirates

Hudson is 0-8 against Pasco since March of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Cobras will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Pasco took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hudson, who comes in off a win.

Hudson gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Seffner Christian by a score of 4-1.

Carter Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Wiregrass Ranch hit Pasco with a four-run third inning last Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates fell 8-3 to the Bulls.

Pasco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Blommel, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Hudson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pasco, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Hudson couldn't quite get it done against Pasco in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 as they fell 10-5. Can the Cobras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
