Soccer Recap: West Florida Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

With a playoff win on the line, West Florida rose to the challenge on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rickards Raiders a 6-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

They hit Rickards with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mikayla Stutts (3), Leah Wooten (2), and Jakayla Stutts.

West Florida's victory bumped their record up to 2-11-1. As for Rickards, they moved to 3-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

West Florida will challenge Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rickards does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
