Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Wayne vs. Washington

The Eastern Wayne Warriors will challenge the Washington Pam Pack at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastern Wayne has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastern Wayne lost 8-2 to North Pitt on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Eastern Wayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 457th, while North Pitt are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Washington waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 7-0 shutout. Considering Washington have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2.
