Soccer Game Preview: Columbus vs. Lincoln East

Columbus hasn't had much luck against Lincoln East recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Discoverers will face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Columbus will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Columbus' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Papillion-LaVista South. Columbus' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Alayna Kudron and Ayla Janssen scored both of Columbus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln East faced Marian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Spartans took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. Lincoln East have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lincoln East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
