Basketball Recap: Community Baptist Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Community Baptist extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a blow against the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs, falling 75-40. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.

Community Baptist's loss came despite strong showings from Zavien Russell and Luke Preston. Russell posted 15 points and six boards, while Preston scored 13 points.

As for Westover Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 27th (when they won 61-21).

Leading Westover Christian Academy to victory were Silas Zeidler and Amarvion Thompson. Zeidler went 6-for-8 en route to 16 points, while Thompson put up 17 points. Those 16 points gave Zeidler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colt Chromy, who earned eight points and seven rebounds.

Community Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-41 defeat against Faith Christian on the 22nd. As for Westover Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-50 loss against Temple Christian on the 22nd.
