Volleyball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manhattan Indians. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15.

Paityn Fritz paced South's offense, picking up ten kills. Fritz got some help from Sophie Daily and her ten assists.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 20-16. As for Manhattan, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-8.

South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on the 25th. As for Manhattan, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Haysville Campus on the 25th.
