Preview: Far Northeast W Warriors vs. Denver East Angels
Far Northeast W has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Denver East Angels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Far Northeast W will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Angels are ranked 57th).
Last Friday, Far Northeast W was beaten by the Wolves 93-27.
Meanwhile, Denver East waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on Legacy with a sharp 67-43 victory. Denver East has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Far Northeast W has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Denver East, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8.
Far Northeast W took a serious blow against the Angels in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 91-14. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Far Northeast W was down 51-10.
