Baseball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry couldn't beat Le Roy on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Yellowjackets lost 15-7 to the Oatkan Knights. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Oatkan Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Perry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Walker Briggs, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Devon Wells was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Le Roy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Perry will face off against Avon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.86 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Le Roy, they will square off against Dansville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
