Abran Gonzales Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Arvin got the W thanks in part to Abran Gonzales playing the best football he has all season. Gonzales rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.

The victory (which was Arvin's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Gonzales and Arvin will take on Foothill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Andrew Trevino Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Andrew Trevino produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Foothill to the win on Friday. Trevino rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the year, Trevino has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 59.5 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Big Game from Gonzales As Mira Monte Fell 35-6

Nathan Gonzales continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least 150 rushing yards. He rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown.

Mira Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. Gonzales and Mira Monte will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arvin at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Another Arvin player making an appearance on this list is Xavier Reynoso. He rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

If history really does repeat itself, Reynoso might just drop another big game when he faces off against Foothill on Friday. When Reynoso last faced the Trojans back in October of 2023, he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
