Alameda won the last time they faced Hayward and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Farmers by a score of 20-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Farmers are ranked 556th).

Alameda is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.5 points on average over those games. As for Hayward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
