Basketball Game Preview: Canton Cobras vs. Novi Wildcats

The Canton Cobras will challenge the Novi Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Canton ended up a good deal behind Plymouth and lost 48-33. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Wildcats are ranked 86th).

Meanwhile, Novi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Hartland, falling 66-24. The Wildcats were down 53-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Novi, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Canton didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Novi in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory. Does Canton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Novi turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
