Basketball Game Preview: South Park Burros vs. Custer County Bobcats

The South Park Burros will take on the Custer County Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Park will be strutting in after a victory while Custer County will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, South Park turned things around against Cripple Creek-Victor on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over the Pioneers. The Burros' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Custer County took on Del Norte on Friday. Custer County fell just short of Del Norte by a score of 38-35. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 11-6 in the first quarter.

South Park's win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Custer County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
