Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Cleburne County

Cleburne County won the last time they faced Woodland and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Cleburne County Tigers' way against the Woodland Bobcats as the Cleburne County Tigers made off with a 12-1 win. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Asher Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Brown was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Gavin Robinson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also stole a stolen base, marking his first of the season. Aiden Laminack was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win (which was Cleburne County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Woodland, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Wadley on the 25th.
