Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Patriots vs. South Adams Starfires

The Heritage Patriots will take on the South Adams Starfires in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Heritage is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 64-46 to the Braves.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Adams, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Churubusco out 40-38. The Starfires' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Adams' win came from a few key players Heritage will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nolan Colpaert, who posted seven points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tytus Lehman, who had 16 points and eight rebounds.

South Adams was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

South Adams' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
