Softball Recap: Lake Mary Takes a Loss

Lake Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Lake Brantley Patriots. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lake Mary saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Reyes, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was Reyes' first of the season.

Lake Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lake Brantley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Lake Mary will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Lake Brantley will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Lake Brantley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
