Baseball Game Preview: Friends Select Falcons vs. Friends' Central

Friends Select hasn't had much luck against Friends' Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will challenge Friends' Central at 4:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Friends Select lost 9-1 to Abington Friends on Friday.

Friends Select saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jules Parisi, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double was Parisi's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Friends' Central came up short against Perkiomen School on Friday and fell 5-2. Friends' Central hasn't had much luck with Perkiomen School recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fisher Haggerty was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched.

Friends' Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Friends Select, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Friends Select has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Friends' Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Friends Select might still be hurting after the 22-2 loss they got from Friends' Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
