Senior quarterbacks Jake Browning, Will Grier each throw for seven touchdowns.

There were plenty of familiar names among the national stat stars this week, including quarterbacks Will Grier of Davidson Day (N.C.) and Jake Browning of Folsom (Calif.), each of whom threw seven touchdown passes last week.

Grier, who led the nation in passing yardage last year, had 361 yards through the air in just one half of work. He did not play in the second half of a 68-0 win.

Browning, meanwhile, threw for 438 yards and seven scores in a 56-21 win over Woodcreek (Roseville, Calif.). Last year, Browning threw 10 touchdown passes and 689 yards in the season opener against Woodcreek.

Jacob Parker of Meadow Bridge (W.Va.) heads the top rushing performances of the week with a 447-yard effort against Van (W.Va.). Parker is one of the top returning rushers in the nation with 2,415 yards last year.

Only teams and players that have stats entered into the MaxPreps database are eligible for stat stars recognition.
