Basketball Recap: KIPP Blytheville Takes a Loss

KIPP Blytheville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-19 loss at the hands of the Harrisburg Hornets. The Thunder were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-11.

Harrisburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Axel Heeb, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points along with eight boards and four steals. The match was Heeb's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Axson Wallace, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

KIPP Blytheville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Harrisburg, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

KIPP Blytheville has already played their next contest (against Hillcrest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harrisburg will take on Cross County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harrisburg is facing Cross County at the right time seeing as Cross County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
